Bromley FC - Hayes Lane - Westminster Waste Stadium

Stadium Info

Hayes Lane is a known for being a non-segregated stadium but as of 2024 it is now sectioned off between home and away. It is also home to Cray Wanderers and Crystal Palace Women who both play their home games there.

On one side is the John Fiorini Stand which is covered and all seated. This is where the Directors, Exec Club guests and reserved Season Ticket Holders sit. Their Media Facilities are also based in this section of the stadium which features the tunnel where players walk out onto the field of play. A limited number of tickets are available in this section of the stadium. Opposite this is the East Terrace behind the dugouts.

Opened in July 2019, the Glyn Beverly Stand is an all-seater affair behind the goal. This stand is the most recent to have been developed and offers visitors a fantastic view of all the action on game day. Opposite is the North Terrace which is also covered.

Away Fans

Visiting supporters use turnstiles located on the far side of the North Terrace (on the other side of the ground to the main entrance). The away section stretches from the corner flag to just past the halfway line. As the home team dugout is located in front of the visiting fans then this can lead to a number of ‘suggestions’ being aimed in their direction. Although this Side Terrace is of a reasonable height being 12 steps high, it does have a row of floodlight pylons running across the front of it, which could hinder your view. The terrace is also open to the elements so hope it doesn’t rain. Most fans enjoy their visits to Bromley as it is a proper old-fashioned ground with plenty of character.

FANS REVIEWS

Michael Cromack, 2nd March 2024 - Bromley vs FC Halifax Town

Travel: I took the wife so we stayed overnight in the centre of town as it was a simple 15 minute walk from there.

Refreshments: Not being a football fan my wife declined the match opting for clothes shopping instead. I spoke to a few friendly home fans on the way down checking I was going the right way and grabbed some chips from near the ground.

Impressions: An open attractive ground with an artificial pitch which I don't technically agree with . Segregation was in place ,a decent turn out from the Shay faithfull for such a long journey.

Atmosphere: I would have taken a draw before kick off with Bromley 2nd in the table . The home side on top from start immediately testing the visitors defence. Five minutes before half time, inevitably Bromley scored with a well placed half volley ,anther in the 2nd half and apart from a 10 minute burst in the middle of the half the Shaymen were well beaten, The atmosphere was ok for the level.

Exit: Fed up I came out early to miss one man from each side being sent off in the last minute. But did mean i got away from the ground quickly and easily.

Enjoy: Quickly forgot the result and began planning a meal and night round town with the missus.
