The foundation of most successful football sides is always built on building a fortress at home. A place where other sides fear to come, and usually leave with nothing more to show than a dent in their goal difference.
Below is a guide to some teams (one from each of league) who are ripping it up at home this season, putting (nearly) all visitors to the sword. As you will see, it gets a little bit harder as you move down the division, with the likes of the Etihad being more of a fortress than Kenilworth Road.

Manchester City: Etihad W13 D1 L0
To be fair, Manchester City are excellent regardless if they are playing at home or away. They have lost just one game away this season, but the record at home is historically good. It is a fair shout that they will remain unbeaten at the Etihad all season. Most fans and punters have had them down as Premier League winners as far back as the autumn. For that reason, there is no value in betting on Man City to win the Premier League at odds of 1/200. A better shout is to back Liverpool at odds of 5/4 (Betfred) to win the league in betting without Man City.
Wolverhampton: Molineux W12 D3 L2
While Wolves' record is not as eye-catching as Man City's, the gruelling slog of the Championship is, relatively speaking, a tougher proposition than the Premier League. Wolves have been the best team bar none in the Championship this season and taking 39 points at the historic (built in 1889) Molineux Stadium has been a big part of that. They are nearly assured to be back in the big-time next season and backing them at odds of 1/9 (Betfair) to win the Championship is as close as possible to 'buying money'.
Rotherham: New York Stadium W12 D2 L4
League One is packed with really good sides this season, with the likes of Blackburn, Shrewsbury and Wigan all seeing themselves as destined for greater things. Rotherham are the upstarts of the equation and while you can get them at odds of 50/1 to win League One (they are currently seven points behind Blackburn), a better bet might be 2/1 for The Millers to win promotion to the Championship. They have been fabulous at the New York Stadium and look like the form side after winning their last seven games and going unbeaten since 2nd December.
Luton Town: Kenilworth Road W13 D2 L3
Not even all-conquering Man City can match Luton Town's record of 51 goals at Kenilworth Road. The Hatters have been phenomenal at home all season and look a shoe-in to go up to League One at the end of the season. The odds of winning League Two are a little short at 2/9, so look instead to Luton forward James Collins to be top scorer at the end of the season at 10/1 (Bet Victor). He is four goals behind Accrington Stanley's Billy Kee, but that dazzling home form by Luton could see Collins make up the gap quickly.
