Hereford FC - Edgar Street

Stadium Info

Edgar Street has a capacity of just over 5,000 and is a very unique stadium. The Edgar Street stand runs alongside the pitch and comprises of seating in the upper tier and terracing beneath. Opposite is the all seated Merton Meadow family stand which is an old build but has no supporting pillars. Behind the goal to the right of this, is the Merton Meadow which is a largely covered curved terrace which houses the more vociferous home fans. Behind the opposite goal is a temporary all seated stand placed in front of the old Blackfriars terrace which was closed due to safety reasons back in 2009.

Away Fans

Visiting supporters are situated to one end of the Edgar Street stand. The stand is shared by both home and away supporters. The away end is situated next to the Blackfriars Street End, with seating available in Block E. Block F is usually kept clear as a 'no-mans-land' between home and away supporters.

Where To Drink

Away fans often mingle in pubs with home fans before and after games, so a visit to Edgar Street should be a good one. There is a club bar at the stadium which welcomes in visiting fans and serves a nice selection of hot and cold food and drinks. It's called Radfords Bar and it's open before and after games, has look out points to see across the stadium and is well worth a look.

There are numerous other pubs and fast food outlets in the immediate vicinity as the stadium is in the town centre so you certainly wont have any problems finding an alternative if you don't manage to get into the club bar.

Parking

Fortunately, there is a large pay and display car park at the ground which is available to all at a cost of just £1 for 4 hours. Cant get more reasonable than that.
